Legal Sentences
The sentence is the final stage of the legal process which begins with a person's detention or imprisonment for a crime or any other illegal activity.
The sentence is pronounced by the judge after the verdict is delivered. If the person is considered not guilty, he or she is acquitted but if guilty, the sentence is pronounced soon afterwards.
